Week One
So we spent one super hot (like dripping-sweat, Death-Valley, step-out-of-the-shower-and-still-be sweating-hot) but amazing week in Santiago for the YWAM south American conference, I translated a lot and it was so fun to meet people from all over and see all the ministries of all the bases and see what God is doing. It was incredible. We spent a lot of time looking at the New Wave of Missions, which will be a multi-generational, global, cross-cultural,socially-inclusive wave of missions.. everyone plays a part, it was cool to learn about. It was especially funto have Daniela and Teresa come join us to lead worship, we slept in tents covered in ants but it was the best week!
Now the DTS is beginning, and its so much work! I am translating all the time for classes, which I love, even though its suuuper tiring talking and thinking double time for four hours at a time... but I do love it! I also help with sports time, drama (just directing, which is much less intense as to avoid breaking my nose again or any other extremities), one on one time, academic time... Rosy is my one-on-one and she is the cutest, shy little English girl, all the guys here are in love with her case she's like this delicate little flower.. I think God will bring her a lot of confidence y identidad I also lead a small group with Fernanda, from Chile, and Anaira from Venzuela.. we have four girls, three Chileans and one Swiss. It's fun cause the Swiss girl understands very little English and Spanish.. so it's like charades meets Spanglish. Luckily I know how to say "shut up" in Swiss German, so you can imagine how our meetings go.
This week we learned about Spiritual Warfare, so lots of us have had bad dreams and headaches, I remember during my DTS when I was going through it! Pray for us lots!! 'll write more soon, thanks for your prayers.
