Since Africa was unexplainable, here are some pictures and I will try to describe it later...
Our tiny little bush plane... kind of scary!
The chaplains, my new heroes! They are being trained by Far Reaching Ministries to be chaplains and pastors in the army so they are ready to influence the army for the Lord when the new war breaks out (which they think is soon). They were always with us with a million huge guns to protect us, translate and work with the kids. It's amazing to hear them say one minute how they would die for Jesus and fight to the death to protect their families from the LRA, but the next minute they can pick up a crying baby and minister to the women (who are usually treated like property in their culture). God is doing a huge work with FRM and the people in Sudan!!!
This is the Indiana Jones truck we always rode in, complete with armed chaplains on top. Wes Bentley (head of FRM) would pray with us before we left to go to the schools each day, saying "Lord protect them from wild animals, protect the car from rolling off the cliffs we drive over, and if there are bandits or evil doers, I pray our men see them and shoot first." Seriously.
Ruby and I in our little plane...
Monkeys by the airport, waiting to greet us
