We made it back to the base! I feel like I am back in my second home! Its been sooo fun to all be together again as a DTS family, to have time to relax together and tell all our outreach adventures and show pictures and eat a million empanadas. Thursday after the graduation, Maia from norcal, Michele from Switzerland, Louise from Germany, and I are all going to Conception (a big city 8 hrs south in Chile) to stay with Tere and Daniela´s families. Their moms keep calling and asking what food we all want, and how they can welcome the gringas! Their churches are all excited to welcome us too, it will be really fun. I am excited to know they families more and to see Conception with my girls. It will be our last time together!
Tomorrow we have our graduation which will be so great, we are walking in with our countries´flags and singing songs in all our different languages. Its been good to hear from actually a few of the leaders here that our DTS is one of the most united, intermixed DTSes that the base has seen in a really long time. Apparently a lot of the DTSes lately have stayed separated according to culture and language, but ours is sooo mixed in and everyone is friends and everyone is trying to learn all the different languages, its awesome. God has been so faithful to our DTS! There are some crazy stories from the Brazil-Argentina outreach, which I will relay later when I have more time.
As I am reflecting back on my time here, I can´t even begin to grasp all the things God has taught me and all the ways He has worked in my life. He has done so many miracles in my life, in the DTS, He has given me new dreams and new passions I never could have imagined. I will start to tell you guys some of those as I process things a little more, but for now I only have time to say that He is bigger, He is greater, He is more faithful than we can ever understand. He has bigger dreams for us than we can ever imagine are possible, and He only has the best for us.
Keep praying for me, and pray especially for my sister Kelsie and her team in Africa - they are discovering that the orphanage they were working with was run by a very very corrupt man and now the orphanage is falling apart, they have no one to trust, they feel very alone but they are safe and they know God has a purpose for them to be there and show mercy and love to the kids. Its heartbreaking to see but I know He has them in His hands and He has a plan for it all. Pray hard.
